Scorpio Full Moon April 26, 2021

Scorpio Full Moon April 26, 2021 ~ The Star Energy

If you’ve been feeling overly emotional or sensitive the past couple of days it might be due to the Waxing Moon that peaks on Monday April 26th. This Full Moon culminates at 7 degrees 6 minutes of Scorpio at 10:32 PM Central Time.

Mars in Cancer, the ruler of this Moon, is like a red hot poker submerged in a glass of ice cold water–cooled off and slowed down; forced to reflect instead of act. The Sabian Symbol for this Moon is, “ The Moon Shining Across A Lake.” Stillness is the message and when we know stillness, we find peace.   The symbolism reflects the energy of  Mars in a water sign.  The hot and dry energy of Mars that wants to take action is submerged and tempered by water that cools and reflects. This Moon reminds us to slow down and surrender to stillness–to observe and sit with your feelings.  Accept what is and don’t try to force things.

The Sabian symbolism of the Sun is, ”A Sleigh Without Snow.” What now? What can we make of the situation we find ourselves in? Rising up and meeting whatever comes our way with a positive attitude and a change in perspective allows us to pivot and make the best of any circumstance we find ourselves in. Otherwise, we feel hopeless and defeated.

Saturn is loosely squaring the Sun and Moon reminding us of limitations and things we have no control over.

Together, this Full Moon asks us to stop and reflect upon our situation. What can we change to make it better? What is it in this situation that we have no control over? Where do we need to let go and surrender?

While those with planets within 4-10 degrees of the fixed signs, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, might especially feel this energy, an additional message for the collective is:

“Night” from the Roots and Wings Oracle Deck by Kat Ryalls

Although a situation feels dire and we’ve lost our faith, the key is to look towards the light–towards the dawn where the sun rises each morning. Full Moons remind us that  we’re never really in the dark– the Moon is reflecting the light of the Sun. Although we can’t see the Sun,  we know from the reflected light that the Sun still shines. It’s always darkest before dawn. The key is to look towards the light.

“Circumspection” from the New Era Elements Tarot by Eleonore F Pieper, PhD

Circumspection symbolizes that no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, we can establish harmony through insight and conscious effort. Full Moons bring insight and the culmination of things so let things run their natural course and work with opportunities that present themselves rather than fighting change.

“Rose Quartz” from “Daily Crystal by Heather Askinosie

Rose quartz ties in the energy of the Sun in Taurus and reminds us to meet ourselves where we are today. To practice self-care and love ourselves unconditionally.

The date of this Full Moon also brings in the energy of the Star Card. Faith is restored. All is not lost. We trust that we have what we need or will find a way to obtain the resources we need through the Aquarian archetype inherent in the Star card such as out of the box thinking, innovation and invention. Making the most of our situation and working with instead of against is the way.

Scorpio New Moon November 14, 2020.

This New Moon is at 23 degrees and 18 minutes of Scorpio and occurs at 11:07 PM Central Time on November 14, 2020. The root energy in the date of this Moon is 20/2–Relationship, Duality, Cooperation.

This Scorpio New Moon makes a pleasing aspect to Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. The Ancients called this aspect a Sextile. It’s kind of like these planets are holding hands in friendship if they make the effort. Cooperation is needed, but the potential exists to get along and work together. So, the Sun and Moon coming together form a new beginning but in Scorpio that won’t be all unicorns and rainbows.

There will be some difficult things that need to be brought out and dealt with. Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn want to dig deep into what isn’t working anymore in the old structure and Jupiter is keen on building a structure built on a new vision. However, Saturn may be a bit stubborn and prefer to keep things the way they are. If this new vision is built on a solid foundation there is potential for two sides (Sextile Aspect) to begin discussing some deep rooted issues (Mercury in Pluto) that need to be worked through so that healing (Pluto) can begin. Mars, the ruler of Scorpio just stationed direct the day before so while this is positive, it may take some time to see results. Mars is still moving slow right now and the planets that this New Moon aspects are ruled by Saturn. Saturn loves to take his sweet time before committing but that’s just because he wants to make sure he’s backing something that is solid.

Scorpio is Fixed Water energy. Picture stagnant water. In Scorpio, still waters run deep and stagnant water requires sifting through some murky stuff and cleaning the pool before it’s fit to swim in. This New Moon has the potential for teamwork but some toxins need to be cleaned up before it feels safe to drink.  New Moons are ideal for planting seeds. What is possible together?

If you want to work consciously with this energy, this is the beginning of a new cycle, so now would be an ideal time to take part in this process. I like to keep a journal and track this cycle which takes about 27 months to complete.

Here are some practical tips to help work with this New Moon:

  1. Within 8 hours of the Scorpio New Moon on November 14, 2020 (again, the time is 11:07 PM if you’re in the Central Time Zone) jot down your New Moon Wishes in your journal. I like to keep a separate “Moon Journal” for the entire 27 month process.
  2. I usually write at least three wishes or intentions but no more than 10 which tends to dilute the energy. It’s also important to hand write your wishes.
  3. Find the area of your chart where Scorpio rules and tailor your thoughts around the themes of this house as well as the archetype of Scorpio. This allows you to work with this energy and makes it personal to you.

To help give some ideas about this archetype, Scorpio rules power, politics, psychology, self-mastery, finances and crisis skills to name a few.

Let your intentions revolve around transforming power struggles into cooperation. Eliminating old baggage, forgiveness and restoration. Think about what steps you can take to work on areas of your life that need healing to include mental health, self-discipline, jealousy, obsessive compulsive disorders, suspicion, self-mastery or managing finances. If you know where Scorpio sits in your natal chart, think about the topics of this House as well as where your Mars resides. These themes can all tie in with the Scorpio archetype when thinking about what you want to achieve in this area over the next 27 months.

This is not a time of action but a time for planting.  Think about what you want to create until we can better see what comes to light with the next Quarter Moon in Scorpio on August 15, 2021 at 23 degrees.

In closing, the degree of this New Moon coincides with the Sabian Symbol, “Crowds Coming Down The Mountain To Listen To One Inspired Man.” This speaks to a large number of people receiving a message. Some will resonate with what they hear. Others won’t. Inherent is a scene mirroring the idea of relationship and working through differences as I mentioned earlier. There is potential for unity but how will the message be received? This might be something to contemplate and work into the New Moon intentions you set at this time.
