I love this tarot spread for the Spring season as we start planting our gardens and fields. Spring is an ideal time to set intentions for the astrological new year beginning with the Sun’s ingress into Aries on the Spring Equinox.
Not only is this exercise helpful in digging down and rooting out what to focus on as we create our vision board during the Aries New Moon, it’s really ideal for any New Moon throughout the year.
Below are my cards focusing on what I want to create during this season and the message is spot on. The World card is the new seed I’m planting and when I think about this card in tarot, I’m reminded about the energy of Saturn. I’m in the beginning of my Second Saturn Return, so this is very timely as it denotes the completion of a chapter in my life and the start of a new phase for me. This oracle card with the rainbow depicted beyond Earth’s boundaries speaks to me about Saturn’s current position in Aquarius and what’s possible beyond the physical plane or what’s possible beyond our limiting beliefs. What life am I open to creating that didn’t seem possible before?
I’m building upon a strong spiritual foundation and this is also at the root of what I’m wanting to create–building in connection with my higher purpose.
I can harness this new growth through my own Inner Vision. How this manifests is dependent on my own thinking–what I desire and believe is possible to create. Focusing ahead is key in creating the life I want.
Stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing new experiences helps nurture this new journey. This new chapter of my life veers from a path less traveled and will be something completely new and exciting. There’s a sense of wonder and adventure in store for me. It feels rejuvenating and exciting.
The thing that gets in my own way is my own thinking and isn’t that true for most of us? Doubt, fear, worry and over thinking are some of the ways I impede my growth. That “stincking thinking” we fall into when we start questioning ourselves and convince ourselves that we’re not capable.
If you want to give this a try, the positions and correspondences are listed below:
The Seed: This is the heart of what you’re wanting to grow–the potential.
The Soil and Roots: This is the foundation and what you’re building upon and how you ground yourself.
The Sun: This represents the raw energy to harness your growth.
The Water: This shows you how to nourish your potential and provides relief along the way.
The Weeds: Those weeds always pop up from time to time and this card gives you an area that might need to be worked on or something that gets in the way of growth.
I’m also offering these readings until the Aries New Moon if you’d like insight on what’s trying to spring forth for you. Book in now through April 10th.
Sometimes the message we’re given is so in our face clear.
Both these cards were “jumpers” meaning they jumped out of the deck while shuffling. Sometimes I’ll keep shuffling, but I knew “Come to The Edge” meant something significant because this card has come up several times over the past week in my readings.
I decided to pull a clarifying tarot card, but again, out flew a jumper–The Fool. You just can’t make this stuff up.
You don’t even have to be familiar with the meaning of these cards to notice that both portray subjects close to the edge of a cliff. Both subjects are about to step out into the unknown. The essential meaning of both cards is about taking a risk. Taking a chance. You may not know all the details of how it will work out, but the message is about taking the opportunity.
It’s easier to stay where we’re comfortable and secure but when you start feeling something stirring inside that calls you forward, maybe it’s worth checking out. Progress only happens when we do something different, learn something new; take a chance. Lean into the unknown.
Maybe the lesson here is to think outside the box. Be open to other possibilities. Try something different.
In looking at the planetary energies of this week and what it might mean for the collective, I looked at the sky for the moment this morning and saw that the Moon had recently passed over Saturn and was now conjunct the South Node. This stood out to me for a couple of reasons. It feels like a call to revisit a past issue so that we can finally release it. Combined with Uranus going retrograde yesterday it feels like we’re being asked to revisit something from the past that might be keeping us stuck. Uranus Rx in Taurus is asking us to re-asses our values. It could have something to do with money, possessions, self-worth. What do we truly value and what old belief or repressed emotion is keeping us stuck? The Moon sitting with the South Node in Capricorn today stood out as a gentle reminder to ask ourselves where we’ve become stuck in the past. What feelings have we repressed that keeps us from moving forward to what we value?
The cards “Flexible” and “Breathe” remind us that when we become too rigid, we lose potential to grow. We can get fixated in “us against them” thinking. Can we find a way that is mutually beneficial? “Breath” reminds us to slow down and review. Take time to think things over, meditate on where or what you need to let go of. Rethink and release. Breathe in (review) the information we need to (release) breathe out. Then we can move on to the energy of the Full Moon in Aquarius coming up on Thursday, August 15th. Full Moons are illuminating and bring clarity. The work we do today in releasing past rigid thinking or beliefs will help pave the way for what the Full Moon reveals on Thursday.

Upon leaving a job of 10 years, I asked for one more sign to confirm I had made the right decision. It’s one of those things where you know deep down that you did the right thing but you just want one more little sign.
During my morning reading, the card that appeared for me was, “Message In A Bottle.” Ok, so that’s funny. It’s like the universe was having a little laugh with me.
But seriously, the essential meaning of the card is communication or a sign pointing me toward the direction of my highest good. I went on to work that day half way expecting to hear or see something that would confirm my decision but as the day went on, I got busy with other things and kind of forgot about receiving a sign.
The next day I ran into a business contact and let her know I was leaving soon. She immediately began telling me her story and how she left a disappointing job and took some time off for herself. She explained that after a couple of years she was ready to get back into the workforce and took a job with less pay but was so much more satisfied and had creative freedom. She assured me I was making the right decision and that I wouldn’t regret it.
“Expect a call, a new opportunity, or a message from an old friend or business contact that will lead you closer to your dreams and greatest desires.”
Knowing I was heard meant more to me than the actual message I received. Synchronicity is our connection with a force greater than ourselves.
