New Moon Sagittarius Eclipse December 14, 2020.

This New Moon Eclipse is at 23 degrees and 8 minutes of Sagittarius and occurs at 10:16 AM Central Time on December 14th. The root energy in the date of this Moon is 12–Surrender.

This Eclipse is also close to the South Node in Sagittarius and makes a pleasing aspect to Mars in Aries. , also in a Fire sign so there is a feeling of severing or letting go of outworn beliefs and ideologies that no longer work or serve your highest good. New Moons are beginnings in a sense but this one is also an Eclipse and on the South Node. It’s a new beginning related to letting go in order for something new to come in. The South Node can also be seen as an “emptying out.” This could translate as a spiritual awakening of sorts, letting go and surrendering. It’s also interesting to note that this eclipse occurs on the day of the Electoral College in the United States, possibly indicating a surrender/release of some sort in order for something new to come in.

Sagittarius is mutable fire energy. Picture the flame of a candle flickering about. Sagittarius is a sign of beliefs, philosophies and vision. Mutable energy indicates change. What beliefs do we need to let go of in order to move forward in creating a new vision? What goals need to be reset and what are the steps needed to achieve them?

To help give some ideas about this archetype, Sagittarius rules the quest for truth, prayer and higher guidance, frankness and honesty, religion, philosophy, beliefs, foreigners, higher learning and finding solutions to name a few.

Since this New Moon is an Eclipse, I don’t recommend setting New Moon Intentions or participating in any New Moon Rituals. Eclipse energy is too unreliable. You don’t really know how it will manifest but I do like to look at the symbolism. The symbolism gives clues as to what might come in for the collective and for you personally if you know where to pinpoint this in your chart.

In closing, the degree of this New Moon coincides with the Sabian Symbol, “A Bluebird Standing At The Door Of The House.” Historically, Bluebirds have been seen as good omens. A symbol that good fortune is at your door. Living morally and with integrity allows you to move forward unhindered. This symbolism denotes the promise of happiness.

James Burgess interprets this symbol to mean, “there are rewards for those who manage both to blend into the community and yet still maintain their own style of being. These rewards tend not to be measured by things or money but by nuances of beauty and contentment, that which makes us sing spontaneously as we are pottering around at home.”

Burgess says that “the most helpful attitude – by which we not only reap the rewards but also stimulate further abundance – is radiant goodwill. We shine our complete sense of confidence and wellbeing upon all who enter our lives. This is the operation of faith, and it has operating principles. One is the knowledge of resonance; if we vibrate optimism we will attract optimal outcomes. From this comes the Golden Rule, which we can interpret in many ways – ‘what goes round comes round’, ‘love thy neighbor as thyself’, or karma for example. Good fortune is not random chance – those who make careful choices and stick tenaciously to their path tend to attract it.”

Success! You're on the list.

Lunar Eclipse In Cancer and How It’s Bringing Me Back To Life.

Taken at John James Audubon State Park in Henderson, Kentucky ~ October, 2016.

As a means of survival and protection, we have made choices based on what would keep us safe and secure. And part of us wants to stay there, but another part of us is pulling us into the new.

~ Mystic Mamma

The Lunar Eclipse on July 16, 2019 is the first eclipse that I’m consciously aware of seeing just how directly the celestial energies can influence my life.

Eclipses open a portal. It can feel like a glimpse into what the future might hold if we continue to do nothing. It can also show us what is possible should we choose to walk through that door and break negative patterns that hold us back.

With the South Node, Saturn and Pluto in the sign of Capricorn, this eclipse might be about letting go of something that feels secure or familiar, a job or anything that hasn’t been serving you. It might be something that feels financially secure but emotionally draining. It could feel like boundaries need to be set and old structures that haven’t served us need eliminating.

For some time now, this energy has been urging me to change something in my career sector and my ideas about security. Literally, I’ve been receiving messages like, “this job is killing you,” and “you’re dying on the vine.”

Full Moons can feel like a tug of war, going back and forth between the two polarities. It’s not surprising that with the nodes in Cancer and Capricorn that I have felt this indecision between financial security vs emotional security.

So much in my chart has pointed toward making this move. Even my Solar Return for this year indicated cutting back and tightening up the finances. When I first saw this for my upcoming year I couldn’t imagine how that would play out because at the time, there was no way I would have voluntarily left my job. And here I am. I’ve just a few days left, having given my two week notice the day before the lunar eclipse on July 16th.

In particular, this Lunar Eclipse along the Capricorn/Cancer axis has been the catalyst I needed to push forward toward something more emotionally satisfying. Something that brings me back to life. The Sun in Cancer has helped shine a light in the direction I need to take to find new life and nourishment that has been lacking for so long.

I’m learning to pay attention to what the planetary energies bring into my life and the direction I’m being urged to take. I’m leaning in to change rather than fighting against it.

At times it feels scary. The familiar seems more comfortable and safe but I’m realizing that we’re always being led toward paths that promote our soul growth. I’m learning to trust God and believe that the Universe really does have my back. This time I voluntarily choose to be in alignment. It feels liberating and right.
