Scorpio Full Moon April 26, 2021

Scorpio Full Moon April 26, 2021 ~ The Star Energy

If you’ve been feeling overly emotional or sensitive the past couple of days it might be due to the Waxing Moon that peaks on Monday April 26th. This Full Moon culminates at 7 degrees 6 minutes of Scorpio at 10:32 PM Central Time.

Mars in Cancer, the ruler of this Moon, is like a red hot poker submerged in a glass of ice cold water–cooled off and slowed down; forced to reflect instead of act. The Sabian Symbol for this Moon is, “ The Moon Shining Across A Lake.” Stillness is the message and when we know stillness, we find peace.   The symbolism reflects the energy of  Mars in a water sign.  The hot and dry energy of Mars that wants to take action is submerged and tempered by water that cools and reflects. This Moon reminds us to slow down and surrender to stillness–to observe and sit with your feelings.  Accept what is and don’t try to force things.

The Sabian symbolism of the Sun is, ”A Sleigh Without Snow.” What now? What can we make of the situation we find ourselves in? Rising up and meeting whatever comes our way with a positive attitude and a change in perspective allows us to pivot and make the best of any circumstance we find ourselves in. Otherwise, we feel hopeless and defeated.

Saturn is loosely squaring the Sun and Moon reminding us of limitations and things we have no control over.

Together, this Full Moon asks us to stop and reflect upon our situation. What can we change to make it better? What is it in this situation that we have no control over? Where do we need to let go and surrender?

While those with planets within 4-10 degrees of the fixed signs, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, might especially feel this energy, an additional message for the collective is:

“Night” from the Roots and Wings Oracle Deck by Kat Ryalls

Although a situation feels dire and we’ve lost our faith, the key is to look towards the light–towards the dawn where the sun rises each morning. Full Moons remind us that  we’re never really in the dark– the Moon is reflecting the light of the Sun. Although we can’t see the Sun,  we know from the reflected light that the Sun still shines. It’s always darkest before dawn. The key is to look towards the light.

“Circumspection” from the New Era Elements Tarot by Eleonore F Pieper, PhD

Circumspection symbolizes that no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, we can establish harmony through insight and conscious effort. Full Moons bring insight and the culmination of things so let things run their natural course and work with opportunities that present themselves rather than fighting change.

“Rose Quartz” from “Daily Crystal by Heather Askinosie

Rose quartz ties in the energy of the Sun in Taurus and reminds us to meet ourselves where we are today. To practice self-care and love ourselves unconditionally.

The date of this Full Moon also brings in the energy of the Star Card. Faith is restored. All is not lost. We trust that we have what we need or will find a way to obtain the resources we need through the Aquarian archetype inherent in the Star card such as out of the box thinking, innovation and invention. Making the most of our situation and working with instead of against is the way.

The Spring Equinox–A perfect time to set goals.

Let’s take a moment to talk about vision boards, goal setting and what that has to do with astrology.  If you created a vision board at the beginning of the year or set goals and intentions of things you wanted to achieve in 2021, how is that going for you?  Congratulations if you’re still doing the work and chipping away at those goals you set in January.

For those that do create vision boards or set New Year Resolutions, we typically do this at the beginning of each calendar year. It’s not something we would start in the middle of March or April so why am I bringing this up now?  Well, it’s not something you would start at this time of the year unless you have the astrological New Year in mind and that’s just what I’m suggesting.  Astrologically speaking, the new year starts with the Sun’s Ingress into Aries each year. That just means the time of year around the Spring Equinox, when the Sun moves into the zodiacal sign of Aries. When you think about Spring, it’s during this time of year when things come alive.  The grass and trees start greening up and we begin to plant seeds. We plant gardens and farmers start planting their fields. We feel a little extra spring in our step and feel motivated to take action.

Aries is an archetype of action that feels bold, courageous and determined.  Aries wants to start something. As a cardinal sign, Aries likes to initiate. The Sun is also exalted or lifted up in Aries, so you may feel you have the resources or potential to find your inner strength. Aries is also a fire sign. Visualize fire and picture the smoke ascending upwards. There’s a sense of reaching up, striving and being motivated to do better. When you think about it, this time of year makes a lot of sense in setting intentions and goals.

I have to say, I’ve  never been much on vision boards. I’ve tried them here and there in the past and really had no luck at all with them. However, last year I decided to create one  at the beginning of the astrological New Year and found that I achieved nearly everything that I had intended and included on that board.

What I do

When the Sun moves into Aries on (March 20, 2021, I’ll start thinking about what I want to achieve and tailor it to the area of my natal chart that has been activated since my most recent birthday. If you’re coming up on a birthday in the next few months, look ahead to that date. I start thinking about themes and collecting photos that I want to use for my vision board. If you don’t have magazines, start collecting images from the internet saved to a folder to be printed later. I also consider the characteristics of the planet highlighted for me this year and incorporate those colors into my board. If that planet also rules another area of my chart I’ll consider those topics as well.

I also meditate on the Sabian symbol of the Moon. This Moon’s symbol is, “A woman in pastel colors carrying a heavy and valuable but veiled load.” I picture a pregnant woman with this symbolism and the idea of bringing something to life–creating something new. Pregnant with possibility. Creating something of value.

Within 8 hours of the New Moon in Aries which is April 11, 2021 at 9:31 PM CST, I’ll start cutting out my pictures and creating my vision board. Once completed, I like to take a picture of it and create screen savers on my phone and computer as a daily reminder of my goals.

If you’d like to try this method and want to add in this extra personalized layer to your vision board, email me your birthdate, time of birth and place of birth and I’ll be happy to tell you what planet and area(s) of your chart are currently active.

Pisces New Moon March 13, 2021

This New Moon is at 23 degrees and 4 minutes of Pisces and occurs at 4:21 AM Central Time March 13, 2021. The root energy in the date of this Moon is 12–The Hanged Man and Neptune energy. It also speaks to Empress and Venus energy. Thus, we have a real emphasis of Venus/Neptune energy as these two planets also blend with a conjunction on the same day. This New Moon is ruled by Jupiter in Aquarius and feels linked to spirituality, creativity, taking it easy and connecting with others

Set your intentions after 4:21 AM Central and within 8 hours of that time. Check in at the 1st Quarter Moon in Pisces on December 10, 2021 to see what is manifesting as a result of your intentions you set today.

The Full Moon in Pisces on September 10, 2022 should bring clarity as to the meaning and purpose of the intentions you set with the New Moon March 13, 2021. Something will come to light or reveal itself around the themes and area of your chart you set intentions in.

The 3rd Quarter Moon phase on June 10, 2023 will start to bring a close to this cycle. This is the Harvest period where fruits of this cycle manifest. It’s the winding down of this phase and a time to reap what you’ve sown or set in motion with the New Moon intentions you set today.

Another consideration is the Sabian Symbol for 24 degrees Pisces which is, “An Inhabited Island.” This is about our ability to function independently no matter the circumstances and our ability to secure needed resources in what might initially feel like a hopeless situation. The idea of finding creative ways to cultivate what’s needed is key. When circumstances force us to come up with new ways of doing things, our life improves. This is about thinking outside the box and coming up with innovative solutions. We can look to the ruler of this New Moon, Jupiter in Aquarius, to help with this as Aquarius is an archetype that is inventive and progressive.  Where have you felt stuck? What can you do differently to achieve what you want or need? This is a creative New Moon and holds the potential in finding solutions to what seems impossible by re-thinking or inventing a new way to do something.

Other things to consider when setting intentions are the House topics of Pisces in your chart as well as the symbolism of Pisces. This archetype is compassionate, imaginative, creative, tolerant and spiritual.

Here are some practical tips to help work with this New Moon:

  1. Within 8 hours of the Pisces New Moon on March 13, 2021 (again, the time is 4:21 AM if you’re in the Central Time Zone) jot down your New Moon Wishes in your journal. I like to keep a separate “Moon Journal” for the entire 27 month process.
  2. I usually write at least three wishes or intentions but no more than 10 which tends to dilute the energy. It’s also important to hand write your wishes.
  3. Find the area of your chart where Pisces rules and tailor your thoughts around the themes of this house as well as the archetype of Pisces. This allows you to work with this energy and makes it personal to you

New Moon in Aquarius 2021.

This New Moon is at 23 degrees of Aquarius and occurs at 1:06 PM Central Time February 11, 2021. The root energy in the date of this Moon is 9–Completion. With endings come beginnings. This New Moon feels linked to new vision based on real world experience. When you know better, you do better. This is Air energy.

This Moon is christened with 6 planets in Aquarius. We haven’t seen this many planets in this sign since February 1962.  Two of these planets are the benefics Venus and Jupiter which come together during this New Moon to give support for what has potential to grow in this part of your chart. Although this New Moon squares Mars in Taurus, Mars is in detriment and the planets in Aquarius are in a a stronger position. The ruler of this New Moon is in domicile which makes this New Moon an opportune time to plant seeds in overcoming what you struggle with in the Taurus part of your chart.

If you’re in to setting intentions with New Moons, this is one to pay close attention to. It would be worth following this Moon Family over the next 27 months as this is a powerful New Moon with so much energy concentrated in Aquarius.

Set your intentions after 1:06 PM Central and within 8 hours of that time. Check in at the 1st Quarter Moon in Aquarius on November 11, 2021 to see what is manifesting as a result of your intentions you set today. The 1st Quarter Moon in Aquarius in November will be at 19 degrees.

The Full Moon in Aquarius on August 12, 2022 at 19 degrees should bring clarity as to the meaning and purpose of the intentions you set with the New Moon today. Something will come to light or reveal itself around the themes and area of your chart you focus on today.

The 3rd Quarter Moon phase on May 12, 2023 at 21 degrees Aquarius will start to bring a close to this cycle. This is the Harvest period where fruits of this cycle manifest. It’s the winding down of this phase and a time to reap what you’ve sown or set in motion with the New Moon intentions you set today.

Another consideration is the Sabian Symbol for 23 degrees of Aquarius which is, “A Man Turning His Back On His Passions Teaches Deep Wisdom From His Experience.” This is about tempering emotions or desires that lead us to negative behaviors by cutting out the tap root. Through our experience in overcoming this, we can use that hard learned experience to help others. For example, a former substance abuser becomes the therapist who helps others overcome their addictions. Think about what this might mean for you. What and how have you learned to overcome negative behavior patterns? How can you help others who struggle?

Other things to consider when setting intentions are the House topics of Aquarius in your chart as well as the symbolism of Aquarius. Aquarius is futuristic, innovative, inventive, humanitarian and thinks outside the box.

This fits in perfectly for those who are in their Saturn Returns right now. Since Saturn, the ruler of this Moon is currently in Aquarius, setting intentions in this area might help reorient those toward a more authentic life path if they are in their 1st Saturn Return and it might help guide those entering their 2nd Saturn Return as to something they can give back to others based on all the wisdom and experience they’ve gained throughout the course of their life.

Here are some practical tips to help work with this New Moon:

  1. Within 8 hours of the Aquarius New Moon on February 11, 2021 (again, the time is 1:06 PM if you’re in the Central Time Zone) jot down your New Moon Wishes in your journal. I like to keep a separate “Moon Journal” for the entire 27 month process.
  2. I usually write at least three wishes or intentions but no more than 10 which tends to dilute the energy. It’s also important to hand write your wishes.
  3. Find the area of your chart where Aquarius rules and tailor your thoughts around the themes of this house as well as the archetype of Aquarius. This allows you to work with this energy and makes it personal to you

New Moon in Capricorn, January 12, 2021

This New Moon is at 23 degrees and 13 minutes of Capricorn and occurs at 11 PM Central Time January 12, 2021. The root energy in the date of this Moon is 9–Completion. With endings come beginnings. This New Moon feels linked to building new structures, foundations, stability and security. This is Earth energy.

What stands out to me with this Moon is the fact that it’s occurring so close to Pluto within minutes of 24 degrees—that same degree where Pluto and Saturn tangled in January of 2020. Saturn and Pluto are associated with power struggles, redrawing boundaries. Historically, it has been associated with war.

A New Moon near Pluto may speak to the transfer of power. Capricorn is often associated with Government and Big Corporations. With Pluto and the Sun involved, it’s likely this new structure will involve battles of powerful egos and volatile emotions.

I think the ruler of this Moon in Aquarius is promising in that it speaks to building something with the perspective of what is best for humanity—society, the common man. I’m just wondering what it means that the overseer is away, in aversion to the area it manages, when this new beginning comes into contact with Pluto. Who’s minding the store?

It’s also noteworthy that this New Moon is close to Pluto in the United States Chart which speaks to a Pluto Return and the rebirth of America. Pluto is necessary in bringing to surface all the ugliness we sometimes would rather keep hidden but need to happen in order to clear out the toxins. It’s hard to move forward until the really dirty stuff is dealt with and cleared away.

As a country, we’re in the midst of a rebirth that will no doubt involve facing some harsh realities—clearing and cleaning up some ugly parts that have poisoned the system for a long time. It’s likely that things will continue to intensify with this transition, especially since Saturn also squares Mars. That can feel frustrating with moving forward as if one foot is on the gas and the other on the brake.

If you want to work consciously with this energy, this is the beginning of a new cycle, so now would be an ideal time to take part in this process. I like to keep a journal and track this cycle which takes about 27 months to complete.

Here are some practical tips to help work with this New Moon:

  1. Within 8 hours of the Capricorn New Moon on January 12, 2021 (again, the time is 11:00 PM if you’re in the Central Time Zone) jot down your New Moon Wishes in your journal. I like to keep a separate “Moon Journal” for the entire 27 month process.
  2. I usually write at least three wishes or intentions but no more than 10 which tends to dilute the energy. It’s also important to hand write your wishes.
  3. Find the area of your chart where Capricorn rules and tailor your thoughts around the themes of this house as well as the archetype of Capricorn. This allows you to work with this energy and makes it personal to you.

To help give some ideas about this archetype, Capricorn rules future security, responsibility, reaching goals, success, management skills, discipline and commitment to name a few.

This is not a time of action but a time for planting.  Think about what you want to create until we can better see what comes to light with the next Quarter Moon in Capricorn October 13, 2021 at 20 degrees.

Something else to consider is the Sabian Symbol of this New Moon. At 23 degrees Capricorn, the symbolism is, “A Woman Entering A Convent.” I picture a spiritual retreat or satisfaction in something beyond the material world. Humility comes to mind as we cross a threshold into what we hope brings more peace. It’s hopeful yet uncertain. Where does this lead? With this Moon’s ruler in Aquarius, we can expect it to include a vision that seeks what’s best for humanity based on freedom and truth.
