Why Tarot?

People get Tarot Readings for all sorts of reasons. Some think it’s a fun outing and something to do with their friends. Others are hoping to see into their future. I think the best reason to get a tarot reading is perspective. Abraham Lincoln said the best way to predict the future is to create it. The insight gained through a tarot reading helps give another point of view. Information is power but don’t rely on someone else to tell you what to do. Take the information Tarot provides and use it as a tool for empowerment. Make your own choices. Create your own future.

Your Saturn Return: It’s About To Get Real.

If you were born between February 7, 1991 and January 29, 1994, you’re about to experience one of the most important times of your life, your 1st Saturn Return. Additionally, those born between the years of  January 4, 1962 and  December 16, 1964 will be experiencing their 2nd Saturn Return.

A “Saturn Return” occurs when transiting Saturn returns to the exact place it was at the time of your birth.  This happens about every 29 years. The first occurs around 28 to 29 years of age and the 2nd around 58-59. For people born between the dates above, your natal Saturn is in the zodiacal sign of Aquarius.

1st Saturn Return

Your 1st Saturn Return is a big deal. A cycle is closing as a new one begins. It’s usually marked by big change.  How you experience this time of your life has a lot to do with what you’ve been doing thus far with your time. Saturn is the Great Teacher and as an archetype, wants us to be mature, responsible, build firm structures, and practice discipline.

Have you been living responsibly? If not, now is the time to be accountable. If you don’t choose to do this on your own, Saturn has a way a doing that for you. Maybe you’ve been living the way others thought you should and not really following your heart. Now might be the time where you start to move in a more authentic direction.

You’ll start noticing  changes prior to this transit. Relationships may change or end, you might move or change jobs. You’re probably starting to feel that time is running out and that you better be getting on with whatever it is that is eating away at you to do.

Saturn may have given you a clue as to what the next three years are asking of you when The Great Teacher dipped into Aquarius  March 24, 2020 through July 1, 2020. During this time, you might have thought about going back to school, wanting to advance in your career, buy a home, or start a family. Something probably came up for you during this time as a nudge–pushing you to do something different or change something.

2nd Saturn Return

If this is your 2nd Saturn Return, it’s a time to give back. How can you teach others? What lessons and wisdom do you have to pass along? What guidance can you offer? Many are thinking about retirement at this time and planning for the future. You might be evaluating where you stand in terms of retirement and planning what you want to do as you move forward. Your 2nd Saturn Return can be an opportunity for a second career or to do something you’ve always wanted to do if you didn’t move in that direction during the 1st return.

Whether this is your 1st return or 2nd, you are whittling away all that is not relevant to you and course correcting.  Saturn likes to limit or strip away what isn’t necessary. If you’re not doing it consciously, it might feel difficult, as though parts of your life are coming to an end. It could feel like a loss and be challenging if you try to hold on to something that’s leaving. But, if you’re doing this consciously, the transition will feel smoother. It’s a time of endings and new beginnings.

When Saturn returns to the degree it was at the time of  your birth, it may feel like a turning point. It could feel like a defining moment that will be made more clear by the end of this transit, in early March of 2023.

This period in your life can be an exciting  time of transition. You’re either feeling more serious about the big picture of your life consciously or things happen to wake you up to that.  A Saturn Return is ideal for looking at the major structures of your life and deciding what you want long term–making corrections if you’re not moving in that direction.

Your Astrologer can give insight as to what areas of your life Saturn affects and help guide you through a smoother transition.

Happy New Year….In March?

How many of us make those New Year’s Resolutions in January only to find that a couple of months later, they’ve kind of fallen to the wayside? Good News! The New Year actually begins with the Spring Equinox on March 19, 2020 followed with the New Moon in Aries on March 24th….astrologically speaking that is.

This New Moon is a great time to set intentions and really clarify what you want to accomplish in 2020. If you still haven’t made that vision board, now is a great opportunity.

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac so when the Sun enters the sign of Aries on March 19th, it’s the start of a new astrological cycle.
